Gorgeous example of the final iteration of fabled Jaguar designer, Malcolm Sayer’s styling masterpiece, finished in its original, very rare, fabulous colour scheme of Turquoise with black leather. Effortless power and seamless torque exude from the magnificent V12 engine, which is coupled to a fully synchromeshed four-speed, manual transmission. With an indicated, and believed original, 49,000 miles, it is spectacularly tight and drives marvellously. The extended cockpit of the Series III E-Types finally afforded comfortable accommodation for taller drivers and this one has been retrimmed beautifully in the correct Jaguar materials. The body & undercarriage are very straight and the paintwork very good with the exception of some small flaws along the bonnetedges and on the lower rear fenders. The canvas soft top and matching boot cover are virtually new. On the road its performance is similarly impressive with silken acceleration, smooth shifts and keen steering & brakes. One of the bestdriving E-Types we have seen and a truly excellent car throughout!
