What more is there to say about the 911 that has not already been said a thousand times over? It is simply (and deservedly), one of the most incredibly successful performance cars ever built. With an almost unchallenged position as the longest running automotive design in history, it has remained not only relevant, but has led the field throughout.

Offered here is a simply flawless, early example. A 1966 model year version built in 1965, it is an all numbers matching car, finished in its original colour combination of Polo Red with black leatherette interior and Pepita houndstooth cloth inserts. The photo-documented restoration included a full engine rebuild and a complete brake upgrade to a dual circuit system with vented discs. All the brightwork was re-plated and the mahogany dash, steering wheel and gauges were refinished. The accompanying Porsche Certificate of Authenticity shows a host of desirable (and still present) options, including sunroof, Webasto heater and an exterior thermometer. Exquisite throughout, this is as close as you will get to being able to walk into the Porsche showroom in '66 and buying one new.
