Named for the seventeenth century, French explorer who founded Detroit, the Cadillac Automobile Company was founded in 1902. Interestingly enough, it was created from the remnants of Henry Ford's first eponymous company, after Ford himself quit, following a dispute with his backers. It is the second oldest American automobile manufacturer in business today, after Buick. Cadillac quickly gained a reputation for quality and were soon acquired by General Motors (in 1909) to become GM's flagship brand.

After the Second World War, under legendary chief stylist, Harley Earl, Cadillac produced some of the most outrageous yet luxurious and technologically advanced cars that the world had ever seen. In 1957, they launched an all-new model with significantly, an all new 'X'-frame chassis. This offered greater rigidity whilst allowing the cars to have a lower ride height. They were the sleekest, fastest, best driving Cadillacs to date.

Offered here, is the ultimate American automotive icon, a '57 Pink Cadillac Coupe de Ville! Immortalized in song and word, driven by Elvis & Marilyn, there is nothing more symbolic of the 'All-American Car' than a pink Cadillac. This lifelong California example has been recently refreshed cosmetically with new paint, interior & chrome and mechanically with rebuilt brakes, fuel pump & new wide whitewall, radial tyres. Consequently, it runs & drives as good as it looks!
