Though officially introduced in 1973, the SLC began production in October 1971. It was the first time Mercedes had built a coupe on the SL platform. They were a slight departure from the previous generation SL. Larger and far more luxurious, they were amongst the best cars ever built by Mercedes and with a reassuringly expensive price tag to boot! In total, there were just under 63,000 SLCs built (approximately a quarter of the number of SLs built on the same chassis). US model production finally ceased in 1980, with the rest of the world production ending the following year.

Offered here, is one of the last US cars built. Finished in its gorgeous, original Silver Blue Metallic (DB930G) paint, the bodywork is virtually unmarked and the navy, leather interior is no less impressive. On the road, her performance is equally faultless with effortless, smooth power and taut handling and braking. With just under 64,000 original miles, this totally rust-free, California beauty has led a very pampered life. Superb, low mileage original cars like this are getting harder and harder to find, making this a great opportunity to acquire one of the best ones out there.
